Every day, I have the wonderful opportunity to serve the people of Gwinnett County as both an assistant district attorney and chairman of the Gwinnett County Republican Party. As a criminal prosecutor, I love working hard to keep our community safe. Additionally, serving as chairman of the Gwinnett GOP has allowed me to fight to reduce the size of government and promote conservatism.
We now live in very troubling times. The freedom and prosperity that citizens of Georgia have enjoyed is in peril. Beyond the unemployment and consumer confidence numbers, we only have to look to our friends, neighbors, and our own families to see that the damage is real and that our freedoms are in need of protection.
Georgia needs a strong, conservative voice representing the 7th Congressional District. We need new blood that's conservative without apology. With this in mind, I offer my name as a candidate for Congress. Campaigns are similar to a job interview conducted by the electorate, and I am eager to offer my credentials.
My governing philosophy is simple: government needs to get out of the way! When Americans are left to make their own decisions regarding their employment, healthcare and education, we prosper as a nation.
No country has ever taxed and regulated its way to prosperity, but unfortunately, this seems to be the reckless path that President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and their liberal pals are dead-set to follow. As a Congressman, I will focus like a laser to promote job creation and cut federal spending.
I was honored that Congressman Linder chose an event I had organized as Gwinnett GOP Chairman to publicly announce his retirement. Only minutes after the news, I began to receive calls from friends and GOP members urging me to run for Congress. Now, I ask you for your support as I humbly offer myself as a candidate. Just like any tough effort, I will have to put together the right team to win and I need you in the lineup!
His roots in the 7th District run deep as he grew up in Lilburn and Dacula. Today, he is a homeowner in the Dacula area.
